President
- Communicates with faculty sponsor
- Organizational strategy and decision-making
- Maintains communication and accountability
- Serves as organizational steward and leader representing SMIS and the MIS major at large
- Assists other executive positions
SVP of Operations
- Maintains organization UGA listserv
- Sends weekly newsletters using Mailchimp
- Sets up company presentations
- Assists with logistical planning decisions
- Meet with external stakeholders for event planning
SVP of Company Relations
- Primary contact for company interactions
- External-facing role; communicates with recruiters for scheduling presentations, events, and panels
- Communicates all SMIS events externally to recruiters (career fair, banquet, panels, and Alumni events)
SVP of Finance
- Oversees SMIS budgets and finances
- Log and account organizational expenses
- Ensures SMIS is following UGA's financial rules for student organizations
- Facilitates membership dues and executive board reimbursement
SVP/VP of Web Development
- Ensures that website is up-to-date and reflects current schedule of events
- Use email to respond to company outreach
- Maintain calendar for event scheduling
- Ensures that website complies to UGA branding policies and standards
VP of Student Relations
- Oversees all social media outlets for SMIS
- Generates form for presentation attendance
- Communicate student attendance information to MIS faculty
VP of Special Events
- Project-lead for fall recruitment banquet and recruiting fairs
- Initiates special events internally within SMIS, such as community service, workshops, or any other unique events that students may be interested in
VP of Alumni Relations
- Maintains Alumni database for SMIS
- Ensures that alumni are contacted and invited to pertinent SMIS events
- Ensures that graduating members are added to alumni database and communication links remain intact
- Reach out to Alumni to help coordinate the new “SMIS Alumni of the Month” effort
VP of Community Service
- Responsible for helping find new ways that SMIS can give back to the community
- Coordinate community service events with faculty, students, and executive board
VP of General Committee
- Oversees the General Committee
- Communicator between the Executive Board and General committee
