  • Assist in hosting company presentations on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
  • Shadow executive board members and support their daily tasks, gaining hands-on leadership experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be admitted into Terry or MIS to join SMIS ?
  • SMIS membership and meetings are open to all majors and intended majors 
​What SMIS events are eligible for MISTERS credit?
  • SMIS biweekly company presentations, volunteer events, and panels( Intern panel, Professor panel, etc.)  are eligible for MISTERS credit. Moreover, students can earn credit by participating in competitions sponsored by SMIS.
Will there be food at company presentations?
  • Yes, food is provided at all SMIS company presentations.
Who can I speak to if there is an error with my MISTERS credit?
  • If there is an error with MISTERS credit, you can come up to an executive at the end of a company presentation or contact us here : Contact.​
Do I have to be a paying member to attend company presentations?
  • No, company presentations are open to all students interested.
